Not sure if anyone knows or cares, but in an effort to improve with my portraits, I'm embarking on a self-imposed "a face a day" challenge! Starting April 4th, I'm going to draw at least one face / day for 365 days. (HA. Lofty goals, madamoiselle, lofty goals...) We'll see how far I get, but I'm remarkably determined to become a better artist! And I know firsthand that the best way to improve in a creative endeavor is practice! 

I'm 9 days in now, and have spent the better half of the last week scouring youtube for instructional videos. I'm only scratching the surface here! Can't wait to see where another 9 days will bring me. Let's draw!

So, I bought myself a tablet... which was impulsive and super fun! I'm going to be playing around with landscape paintings and the like. Because I'm a goal-oriented person, in addition to writing my newest novel in April 2018, I'm going to attempt to paint 3 things / week. Here's hoping I'll improve with enough practice!  

Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated... Photoshop scares me. O.O
